Front of the Rebox-Physio Classic
This user-friendly device is easy to work with. Rebox currents are introduced into the treated
area transcutaneously, with the touch of a small, non-invasive TREATMENT electrode while
the patient holds the second CYLINDRICAL electrode in his/her hand, to complete the
electric circuit.

Treatment Electrodes
1. CLASSIC HARD TIP
It is designed for typical applications of Rebox. The point of this classic electrode tip has a precise shape. It should be applied to the skin at
an angle of 30 degrees and raised gradually to an angle of 60 degrees. Optimal pressure is reached when the needle swings in a
consistent manner with each contact and the pressure does not cause pain.
2. GOLDEN FLEXI TIP
This type of the electrode tip has a special gold plated surface. It allows good quality contact with a tissue therefore resulting in high treatment effect. This electrode should be applied perpendicularly
(90 degrees) to the skin.

Types of Stimulation
There are two types of electrostimulation by the Rebox depending on the chosen cable sets:
1. CATHODE STIMULATION
This type is used most often (95% of all applications). Positive tissue ions (K+, Na+, Ca2+) are attracted
to the treatment electrode (cathode), therefore the local ion concentration changes lead to
analgetic and antioedematic effect, myorelaxation and correction of local acidosis.
2. ANODE STIMULATION
This stimulation
is applied rarely in the situations, when the cathode stimulation irritates the patient. For
example: post-herpetic neuralgia, some conditions after neurosurgery.
Treatment Modes
1. GENTLE - Recommended for a new patient (first few sessions).
2. STANDARD - The most frequent mode when patient is used to the treatment.
3. STRONG - For patients who do not respond to normal stimulation amplitude.
TRANSCRANIAL MODE (available only in USB model) - This mode is especially designed for transcranial stimulation of brain for after-stroke conditions and other neurorehabilitation
purposes. For more see Transcranial Stimulation.
Display Modes
Treatment process (current flow and tissue response) is visualized on a digital TREATMENT MONITOR.
There are 3 display modes:
The change of average Rebox current in time has diagnostic value. A unique feature of the
Rebox is that it receives and registers information from the patient´s tissues during treatment, giving
the therapist a great advantage of continuous monitoring and control of the dosage applied. Every
type of tissue pathology shows its own specific microcharacteristic changes in electric
current during treatment by the Rebox.
Other Controls
The AMPLITUDE button controls the amplitude of rectangular pulses.
The Rebox-Physio has also an audio output built-in. The intensity of the sound output is proportional to the average value of the treatment current. This feature is very important for blind physiotherapists. The audio volume is controllable by the VOLUME button.
